Minotor Company from Belarus has developed new light tracked multipurpose vehicle Breeze

The Belarusian Minotor-Service Company has developed a new light tracked multipurpose armoured vehicle called Breeze presented for the first time at the International Military Technical Forum Army-2016 which was held near Moscow (Russia) in September 2016.

Renault Trucks Defense from France to deliver 3,700 VLTP-NV 4x4 tactical vehicles to French army.

The French Company Renault Trucks Defense has announced, Thursday, December 8, 2016, a contract for the delivery of 3,700 unprotected 4x4 light tactical vehicles to the French Army. The vehicle called VLTP-NP (Véhicule Léger Tactique Polyvalent Non Protégé - Non-Protected Light Multirole Tactical Vehicle) for the French army project will replace the old Peugeot P4 4x4 tactical vehicle.

Russia activates new air regiment in Western Military District

Russia’s Western Military District has transformed an army aviation base into an air regiment, the district’s press office said today December 9, 2016. The new large unit has received Mil Mi-28N (NATO reporting name: Havoc) and Mi-35M (Hind) attack helicopters, the press office added.

US approves $781 mn order from Qatar for C-17 airlifters spare parts and support

The US State Department has made a determination approving two Foreign Military Sales to Qatar for continuation of logistics support services, equipment, engines and spare parts for its fleet of C-17 Globemaster III airlifters for an estimated cost of $781 million, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said on December 7, 2016.

UAE places a $3.5bn order for 37 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters

The United States State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the United Arab Emirates for 37 Apache AH-64E Helicopters and services, as well as related equipment, training, and support for an estimated cost of $3.5 billion, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on December 7, 2016.

UK Orders Two More River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels for Royal Navy

BAE Systems welcomed Harriett Baldwin MP, Minister for Defence Procurement to its Govan shipyard in Glasgow today to announce the £287m manufacturing contract for two further River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) and support services for the five ship programme, taking the total value to £635m.

Turkey has tested local-made HISAR-O medium-altitude air defense missile system

According the Turkish Anadolu News website, Turkey’s defense minister last week reviewed a test launch of the Turkish-made Hisar-O medium-altitude air defense missile. This flight test of the Hisar-O was performed under a project to meet the Turkish Land Forces with a new air defense missile system.

Canadian Coast Guard receives its two first Bell 412EPi helicopters

The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, today accepted two new Bell 412EPi medium-lift helicopters into the Canadian Coast Guard fleet. “The purchase of these helicopters for the Canadian Coast Guard encourages innovation and drives economic growth. This contract has helped maintain over 170 highly skilled jobs for Canadians across the country in the aerospace sector," LeBlanc said.
